Ce Film raconte l’histoire du fondateur Ferruccio Lamborghini et de sa relation avec son grand rival, Enzo Ferrari. Selon la légende, le premier aurait proposé au second de faire équipe et de corriger l’embrayage des Ferrari pour les rendre encore meilleures, mais le Commendatore l’aurait envoyé promener.

Insulté, Ferruccio s’est résolu à construire ses propres voitures sport dans le but de concurrencer Ferrari. Et tout a commencé avec la 350 GT, la première Lamborghini de série.

Le film met donc l’accent sur cette guerre entre les ateliers de Sant’Agata Bolognese et de Maranello, avec une approche qui n’est pas sans rappeler bien sûr Ford contre Ferrari sorti en 2019. Sous la réalisation de Bobby Moresco (le scénariste de Crash, oscarisé en 2006), Frank Grillo campe le rôle de Ferruccio Lamborghini alors que Gabriel Byrne incarne Enzo Ferrari.
